Magent Schools
In addition to the neighborhood schools designated
for residents of Crescent Communities, students may apply to attend
one of several magnet schools that are part of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg
school system. In addition to the core curriculum, magnet schools
offer special programs that may appeal to students with particular
interests or talents. The following programs are offered:
- math/science and technology arts
- visual and performing arts
- Montessori
- traditional/classical
- Paideia
- open education
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- international/global studies
- accelerated learning
- finance
- learning immersion
- medical studies
- communications arts and academic studies
- communication arts/technology
- year-round
- classical Latin
- academically gifted
- foreign language
Application to these programs is open to any family residing in
Mecklenburg County. Selection for admission is based on space availability
and, in some cases, special entrance requirements. Call 343-5030
